We are an Online Radio Station seeking passionate DJs and music lovers to join our team.
Role: DJ and Music Contributor
Location: Online
Time Commitment: Flexible (volunteer basis)
Responsibilities:
– Curate and host engaging shows focused on black music genres, showcasing your deep understanding and passion for soul, jazz, blues, funk, hip hop, gospel, electronic, and R&B.
– Create diverse playlists, combining popular hits, hidden gems, and emerging artists to captivate our audience.
– Conduct research and share interesting facts and stories about the music, artists, and historical context to enrich the listener experience.
– Collaborate with the station team to develop unique show concepts, blending your personal style with our overall programming goals.
– Offer general computer assistance and support to help ensure smooth broadcasting and online presence.
Requirements:
– Extensive knowledge and genuine enthusiasm for black music genres, including soul, jazz, blues, funk, hip hop, gospel, electronic and R&B.
– DJ experience and skills in mixing is a plus but not necessary needed, transitions, and maintaining an engaging flow.
– Your music library spanning the genres mentioned above.
– Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor to interact with listeners during live shows and respond to their music-related queries.
– Basic computer proficiency and a willingness to learn and contribute to the technical aspects of running an online radio station.
